DESIGN AUTORAL
The Agogô Chair unites authorial design and memory, bringing the strength of reclaimed wood into the present. Its concept is rooted in a balance between rusticity and sophistication, defined by simple lines and tapered legs that subtly reference the musical instrument from which it takes its name.
Originally developed as an academic project, the piece reflects a careful exploration of ergonomics, proportion, and sustainability. Each curve of the seat and backrest is designed to provide comfort, while carrying the history of repurposed Brazilian native woods within its structure.

As an academic study, it was born from research in ergonomics and comfort, from the search for sustainable solutions, and from the desire to transform reclaimed wood into an authorial piece with refined finishing. It was where I could experiment, test proportions, rework joinery, and truly understand how design meets woodworking. It taught me more than any classroom ever did—theory and practice together.”
